In May 2010, TAP&G hosted a program entitled Condominium and Townhome Litigation for insurance company representatives and related clients.  Michael Rowley gave an introduction about the parties, issues, and claims involved in condominium and townhome litigation in Minnesota.  Tony Kane and Tom Downs of BKBM Engineering talked about common concrete defects in condominium and townhome developments.  Tony and Tom also led a discussion about getting the most out of your expert witness.  Lisa Griebel gave a presentation on the issues involved in contractual indemnity in condominium and townhome construction projects.  Sean Mickelson discussed insurance coverage implications for contractual indemnity and additional insureds in condominium and townhome litigation.

At its annual meeting in Duluth this August, Lisa Griebel was elected to the position of Treasurer for the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association.

Lisa Griebel was recently recognized nationally as one of fourteen “top attorneys” in the area of Construction Litigation for the State of Minnesota, as found in “The Top Attorneys in Construction, Real Estate and Environmental Law,” Corporate Counsel Edition, Super Lawyers, May/June 2009.

On March 4, 2009, Ryan Johannsen, Michael Will, and Jessica Allen were among several attorneys who participated in the “Feed My Starving Children” MDLA volunteer event.  This event involved hand-packing meals specially formulated for starving children, which were then shipped to countries around the world.
